42 Universities have been issued queries by the Federal Government for charging more than the N2,000, to conduct their 2017 Post-UTME as instructed by the Federal Ministry of Education.
This was announced by Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, at the stakeholders’ meeting on the 2018 UTME in Abuja.
Prof. Oloyede noted that the affected universities are now refunding the excess to the candidates and the candidates are reporting back to JAMB office. In a case where the university could not trace the affected students, the minister of education instructed that the money should be paid to a non-religious orphanage.
He added that that the board had put in place some new measures to tackle examination malpractices.
