Two previous English Premier League champions are set to trade tackles tomorrow as Chelsea host Leicester City at Stamford Bridge.
Antonio Conte’s 2016-17 title winners host 2015-16 champions Leicester, though neither side is likely to lift the trophy this season with Manchester City running away at the top of the table.
But there is still plenty to play for this term, with Chelsea seeking to leapfrog Manchester United into second place and Claude Puel’s Foxes aiming to put distance between themselves and the bottom half of the table.
Chelsea host Leicester at Stamford Bridge with kick-off scheduled for 4pm on Saturday, January 13.
Antonio Conte has no fresh injury concerns for the game, with Eden Hazard returning for 83 minutes of the Blues’ EFL Cup draw against Arsenal.
Jamie Vardy is also fit again after missing Leicester’s FA Cup trip to his former club Fleetwood.
The striker has recovered from the groin injury which made him sit out the goalless draw at Highbury Stadium last Saturday.
Wes Morgan and Danny Simpson (both hamstring) and Robert Huth (ankle) are out but Christian Fuchs (illness) and Vicente Iborra (hamstring) are fit for Claude Puel’s side at Stamford Bridge.
