Battles in the Nigerian Professional Football League has continued to intensify as clubs try to gather vital points before the end of the campaign.
Enugu Rangers will welcome Rivers United to their home ground, Katsina United clash with ABS of Ilorin. Remo Stars play hosts to MFM FC at their Sagamu base in a Southwest derby while table toppers, Plateau United will be wary of the threat from Shooting stars when they welcome them to Jos in a keenly contested affair.
The big game of the weekend has to be the clash between Enyimba International and Kano Pillars which will see the two sides fight for supremacy in Calabar, Cross-river state.
Wikki Tourists will welcome Sunshine Stars at the Tafawa Balewa Stadium in Bauchi as Gombe United host Lobi Stars at home; Abia Warriors and Ifeanyiubah will also square up against each other at the Umuahia township stadium.
Nasarawa United play Niger Tornadoes at home while El-Kanemi Warriors welcome highly-rated Akwa United.
Ahead of their games, El-Kanemi boss, Ladan Bosso has insisted they will continue to fight for the league title, he said: “Hope is not lost, we still have seven matches to go. You know the strength of El-Kanemi Warriors. If we travel well for our away games and get enough rest, we will trouble the home teams,
Bosso also said that it is possible for teams to pick points away from home.
“Over the years, people have believed that it is difficult to win points on the road, but if teams go all out on the attack, they can always get something away from home,”
