Aribo to Rangers fans: I’ll be back and better sooner than you think

Joe Aribo will be sidelined for about four to six weeks, according to Glasgow Rangers’ boss, Steven Gerrard.

The playmaker has missed the last four league games for the Gers, no thanks to the ankle injury he sustained back in August.

Gerrard confirmed the former Charlton Athletics midfielder is not expected to back in the team soon, but he added that he won need surgery on the injured ankle.

He said: “Joe Aribo has had a setback with regards his return to training, so he’s got a high ankle sprain at the moment.

“He’ll be missing for four to six weeks. We’re really positive in terms of that being four rather than six, but we’ll have to take it week by week.”

He added: “It’s a big blow. Joe during pre-season and at the start of the season, was in magnificent form. He’s a player we rate very highly here so I’m sure he’ll be missed over the next four weeks.” Gerrard said.

Aribo however took to his social media handle to thank all the fans for their support and promised to get back on the pitch sooner.

” Thanks for all the love and support. I’ll be back and better sooner than you think 😉🙏🏾💙 @RangersFC” he posted on Twitter.

Aribo has featured in two league matches for Rangers this season and scored once in the process.
