Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu scored bagged a brace in Genk’s 3-1 home win against Mechelen in the Belgian Jupiler on Sunday.
Onuachu who has now increase his tally for the season to four inspired struggling Genk to their second win of the current campaign after six matches.
The win lifted former Belgian champions to 8th on the log with two wins, two draws, and two losses so far.
Onuachu scored the first goal in 10 minutes, before bagging his brace in the 68th minute.
The lanky striker who was also on target last Monday has now scored four goals in five league games.
Junta Ito scored the other goal for Genk, while Kerim Mrabti got the only goal for the visitors.
Meanwhile, Onuachu’s compatriot Cyriel Dessers did not get a taste of action for Genk as he was left on the bench throughout the game.
