Peter Ijeh talks about the gap between ’94 Eagles and Current Super Eagles squad

Former Nigerian striker, Peter Ijeh has stated that the bridge in between comparison of the present Super Eagles team and the 1994 squad is the Afcon trophy.
Ijeh admonishes that the Rohr-led team is as organized as the 1994 squad but stated that the only thing lacking for them is to attain that feat of the Clement Westerhof-led team.
”Times may be different but football principles are the same, Nigeria has to play more grade A friendlies, most of those friendlies are on point as we know that, it has different continent rankings.”
”The friendly games are very important for the eagles not only for the rankings also for shaping the teams.”
”And if I have to compare and contrast these present eagles and the 1994 sets , Nigeria still needs to win the African nations cup, that will give a big boost for the ranking just as the 1994 set did that gave them that flex.”
”They also have to play more grade games, not only in the African continent but with top European teams and Asia team, for example, those will give them good points to boost their rankings in the world.”
