Daniel Igali seeks Sports Minister’s consent to vie for International wrestling position

Nigeria Wrestling Federation President, Daniel Igali has sought after the consent of the sports minister Sunday Dare to be a member of the Bureau of the united world wrestling.

Igali made this call at the sports minister’s conference hall in Abuja on Tuesday morning.

According to Igali, the united world wrestling has never had a black or an African man on the board and he believes that the sports Ministers’ endorsement will further strengthen his candidature at the international stage.

”I would like to officially inform you that I am seeking the nomination to contest to be a member of the Bureau at the international level, that is united world wrestling.”

”In the history of united world wrestling, we have not had any black person on the Bureau, we have not had any black African on the Bureau. Currently, we have the continental president who is on the Bureau, as a continental president he has a voting right on the Bureau but he also wants to be an elected member so, he wants to hold two positions at a time and we only have one vote in that regard so, I put myself forward and I want to seek your cooperation and support because this is an international election and it will require diplomacy of Nigeria for me and Nigeria to be successful in that regard.”Igali said.
