Super Eagles striker Anthony Okpotu was in action for US Monastir in their Tunisian cup final clash against Esperance on Sunday.
Okpotu saw action for the entire duration of the game as he helped US Monastir to a 2 – 0 over the Tunisian Ligue one winners.
US Monastir took the lead in the 40th minute, thanks to an own goal from Esperance defender Abdelkader Bedrane.
Monastir defended for their lives, but they sealed the historical win within the 80th minutes when Yassine Amri grabbed the all-important second goal.
Apart from Okpotu, another Nigerian Moses Orkuma also featured for US Monastir in the final.
The trophy is the first in the history of US Monastir and the triumph earned them a place in the 2021 CAF Confederation Cup.
