Rebekah Vardy set to showcase dancing skills on Ice

Rebekah Vardy has been named as the ninth celebrity competing on next year’s edition of Dancing on Ice.

The 38-year-old wife of Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy hit the headlines last year after fellow WAG Coleen Rooney accused her of leaking stories about her to the press in a row dubbed ‘Wagatha Christie’.

Appearing on Good Morning Britain Thursday, the mother of five confirmed that she will be taking to the ice when DOI returns in the New Year.

“I’m so ready for the sequins and the full glam squad. After months of lockdown it’ll be nice to get the glam on,” she said.

“I just think I want everyone to laugh at me really!

“My dad taught me how to stand up on a pair of skates when I was about 7 years old, we used to go skating a lot when my mum and dad split up, we would go with him to the local ice rink.

“I’m really excited actually. The only time I’ve been ice skating since is when we take our kids to the rink.”

Other celebrities confirmed for the lineup so far include Denise van Outen, Jason Donovan and Myleene Klass.

The brouhaha between Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney hitherto best of friends is yet to cool off.

Recall that Mrs Rooney filed libel case against Mrs Vardy billed for November.

But sources claim those close to Madam Rooney have been encouraging her to settle their dispute privately. Becky Vardy has already declared her readiness to clear her name in the forthcoming legal suit.

Ladies war has equally affected relationship between both footballers as it was reported that James Vardy deleted his relationship with Rooney on social media, both players have however avoided taking the squabble further, preferring to concentrate on doing their jobs on the pitch and taking their clubs Leicester City and Derby County respectively to the next level.
