Leon Balogun has turned his focus to the Super Eagles of Nigeria after helping club Glasgow Rangers to a hard-fought win over Ross County on Sunday.
Balogun who played the entire duration of the match helped Rangers to a 2 – 0 victory and another memorable clean sheet as the Gers maintained their 100% Scottish Premiership home record this season.
Leon Balogun and his center-back partner Connor Goldson put efforts over the bar after good deliveries from corners when the game was goalless.
James Tavernier later opened he scoring from the penalty spot, Rangers struggled from that moment until the scored the second of the game with just a minute left to play.
Barker picked up the ball on the right of the box before cutting in past two County defenders to fire low into the net.
Balogun admitted the performance wasn’t good enough, but he’s glad to depart reports international assignments on a winning note.
“Our performance definitely has to improve, but happy about the important 3 points and another clean sheet. Off to reunite with my Super Eagles now” he said.
Balogun is part o the 25 players invited by Gernot Rohr for the next week’s international friendly match against Algeria and Tunisia.
