The President of Nigeria Football Federation Amaju Pinnick has confirmed the appointment of Randy Waldrum as the new Head coach of Super Falcons.
Randy Waldrum’s appointment was made official on Monday and Pinnick said he has been tasked to take the record African champions to the next step.
The 64-year-old succeeds Thomas Dennerby who left his position as the head coach of the team a year ago, after unresolved disagreements with the Nigeria Football Federation.
” I’m happy to announce that Randy Waldrum will be the man tasked with taking our Women to the next level. Waldrum was one of over forty coaches interviewed by our consultants, Phillips Consulting, with that list pruned to four & Waldrum getting the job.”
” Hopefully, with a new man in charge, our Women can start proper preparations for football again,” Pinnick said.
Randy Waldrum worked as the head coach of the Trinidad and Tobago women’s national team between 2014 and 2016.
