Onigbinde berates Nigeria Football Federation on Nigerian Coaches certification

Former FIFA and CAF Technical instructor Adegboye Onigbinde has berated the Nigeria Football Federation over the latest position NPFL continental bound teams to find themselves as regards having coaches that meets CAF’s latest requirements for coaching certification.

Onigbinde speaking in a chat with brila.net said the Football Federation in Nigeria hasn’t conducted the required CAF coaching certification courses in the last three years which is why coaches have suddenly found themselves in a tight corner.

He stressed that coaching education is supposed to be part of the objectives of the Football Federation.

“It was not the fault of the coaches, it was not the fault of the clubs. I don’t know whose fault it is that we are not training our coaches. For almost three years now if not more, we have not conducted any coaching course for coaches, let them tell you what is happening.”
