Nigeria’s Super Eagles striker, Simy Nwankwo, was on target for his club Crotone against a visiting Atalanta on Saturday.
Nwankwo’s Crotone hosted high scoring Atalanta side in the Italia Serie A-League game, and once again the visitors departed with all three points.
Atalanta netted the opener in the 26th minute through Colombian import Muriel who was put through on goal by Ruslan Malinovsky.
The former Sevilla forward completed his brace in the 38th minute with a fantastic strike from the edge of the area.
Milos Vulic later set up Simy Nwankwo who made it 2 – 1 five minutes before the half time whistle.
The Russia 2018 World Cup striker has scored three goals in six appearances for the newly promoted Crotone this season.
Crotone however failed to find the much-needed equalizer before the final whistle.
Crotone have now lost five of their six league matches, picking just a draw in the process.
