After helping his Spanish Segunda Liga Club, CD Leganes to narrow win over Mirandes, on Sunday, Super Eagles defender, Kenneth Omeruo expressed his delight with the result despite picking up a knock that leaves him in doubt of the double header AFCON 2021 qualifiers against Sierra Leone.
Omeruo played his part in the victory, despite sustaining an injury that ended his involvement.
He was replaced by Roberto Rosales in the 48th minute following a suspected hamstring injury.
Jose Arnaiz notched the vital goal for Leganes, just a minute after Omeruo left the pitch for the bench.
The former Chelsea defender took to his social media handle to react after the game, he tweeted:
“+3 great team spirit.. in all circumstances I will give thanks to God.”
The Cucumber planters are now up to fourth on the log with 18 points from six games.
Meanwhile Omeruo is now doubtful for Nigeria’s upcoming 2021 African Cup Of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone.
