Kelechi Iheanacho has expressed satisfaction with his role in Leicester City’s hard fought 2-1 victory over Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Sunday.
Iheanacho started from the bench and was thrown into the fray by Manager Brenda Rodgers in the 69th minute for Ayoze Perez.
The Nigerian added creativity and spark to the Foxes attack when he came and they did scored the winner with the last kick of the game.
His introduction also allowed Jamie Vardy, who scored the winner, to have more space to penetrate for the remaining 20 minute.
In his post match reaction, The former Manchester City forward said his side deserves to win the maximum points.
“Great fight boys well deserved 3 points” the Super forward wrote onTwitter.
Ayoze Perez opened the scoring for Leicester City, but Oliver McBurnie leveled the scores for Chris Wilder’s men 12 minutes later.
The win put an end to Leicester City run of two defeats in the last seven days and helped them move to fourth on the premier league table.
Meanwhile Iheanacho’s compatriot Wilfred Ndidi also featured in the game and it was his first Premier League appearance in two months.
