Scribe of the Nigeria Football Federation Dr Mohammed Sanusi has stated that players are the worst hit for Nigeria’s CHAN absence and has hence urged Nigerian players to continue to work had to ensure that they don’t miss out on such career changing opportunities next time.

Sanusi speaking in a chat with brila.net said the current failure of the team is a learning curve for everyone including the NIgeria Football Federation who are also not happy for the inability to have qualified for the competition but stressed that the players feel this more considering the career opportunity it presents.

“We are not happy that Nigeria is not in CHAN and it’s just a lesson to the players to say that they need to put more efforts so that anytime they go for any qualifiers or competition, they will qualify. It is about Nigeria but it is also about the individuals as well. Those who are able to make it would have gotten market and would have gotten clubs. It is a learning process and we will continue to learn,”
