Man U youngster Amad hails teammates hitting FA Cup Q/Final

 

Despite failing to realise his dream of making a debut for the Reds’ senior team Tuesday, Man United’s youngster Amad Dialo has given his teammates a pat on the back for advancing to the next round of the FA Cup.

The January signing was listed to debut for the Old Trafford landlords on Tuesday against West Ham but that did not happen.

The Ivorian and former Atalanta ace however failed to make it off the bench even as Scott McTominay struck in extra time to book United’s place in the FA Cup quarter finals.

Nonetheless, Amad was still over the moon for his new team-mates, as he posted on Twitter to give those involved a pat on the back.

He simply wrote, “Well done guys” alongside a picture of himself smiling during the warm-ups at Old Trafford.

Speaking after the 120 minutes of action, Solskjaer admitted that United needed to start taking their chances more.

“Some of the finishing, it was a bit side-footy, burst the ball into the net!” Solskjaer said after the win.

“We need to learn off him (McTominay). We need to be more clinical and finish the game off earlier.

“Scott used to be a striker and I think he finishes with authority. You see that he doesn’t mind being in those positions. He just smashed the ball into the net.”

United are now in the hat for Thursday’s quarter final draw, and Solskjaer admits that while a home tie would make life easier, he is targeting a place in the final regardless of what the draw throws up.

“It doesn’t matter at the moment with the fans,” the Norwegian added of the draw. “With the travelling, of course, it’s easier to be here at Old Trafford so yes please.

“Of course you want to win every game. We want to challenge and we want to go to the final. That’s what we’re here at Manchester United for.
