Oshodi hopes Aruna gets more luck in quest for World Table Tennis tour semis

Vice President of the Africa Table Tennis Federation and former President of the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation Barrister Waheed Enitan Oshodi has stated that he is hopeful Aruna Quadri gets more luck ahead of his World Table Tennis tour Contender quarter-final clash against Chinese Taipei’s Yun-Ju Lin.

Oshodi speaking in a chat with brila.net after a cursory assessment of Aruna’s run so far at the tournament praised the Nigerian player for going this far as the last African standing and the first at this stage.

He also believes he should be able to break more ground with a semi-final ticket later on Friday after securing a quarter-final place following a last 16 win over Portugal’s Joao Geraldo.

“Aruna has played against every top player in the world and he’s done well against everybody. His determination and focus has come through and moving forward his clash against Yun-Ju Lin the young Taipei player will be a very big and tough clash. But I hope he gets a bit of luck and wins again.”
