Anthony Nwakaeme rescues Trabzonspor from home defeat

Anthony Nwakaeme helped rescue Trabzonspor from defeat in defeat in their Turkish Super Lig game against Kayserispor on Tuesday.

 

The one capped Super Eagles striker played the entire duration of the match and also assisted the Trabzonspor equalizer.

 

The former Hapoel Be’er Sheva and his teammates who are chasing European tickets started the game on a back foot and conceded inside the opening six minutes.

 

Mugdat Celik gave Kayserispor the lead following an assist from his Spanish player Pedro Henrique.

 

Trabzonspor finally settled into the game and got their well-deserved equalizer in the 29th minutes and it was Nwakaeme who set up Tasos Bakasetas for the goal.

 

Both sides however failed to find the important second goal before the center referee Atilla Karaoglan ended the proceeding at the Senol Gunes Akyazi Stadyumu.

 

The draw leaves Trabzonspor fourth on the Turkish Super Lig table with 57 points from 32 matches.
