A rather young Ali woke up few years ago to play with his mates in Chibok, with no premonition that he may never walk again.
The dreaded Boko Haram insurgents had other plans for this innocent boy; they ran him over with their vehicle and thus drilled a large hole in the dreams of Ali.
We may never have had the opportunity to meet this young survivor but for the efforts of embattled Senator Dino Melaye, who brought Ali, a 6-year old boy from Chibok to the office of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki yesterday.
Ali is one of the reasons the Boko Haram insurgents must be cleared out. For the his sake, and the sake of many who have been cut down in their prime.
According to Saraki, “As a result of the unfortunate incident at the hands of Boko Haram, Ali’s spinal cord was severed.”
Our heart at Greennews.ng goes out to Ali and other Victims of Boko Haram.
