Those Involved In Arms Purchase Scandal, Still In Buhari’s Gov’t – Secondus

Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Uche Secondus, on Tuesday heavily carpeted the government of President Muhammadu Buhari, describing it as “a broken government.”

The PDP chairman made the declaration when he led other members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) to a meeting with the party’s lawmakers at the National Assembly.

In a statement made available to newsmen on Wednesday by the Media Adviser to the PDP chairman, Mr. Ike Abonyi, Prince Secondus noted that the APC has failed in delivering on its mandate and asked his party members to “fine tune” their preparation to occupy the Presidential Villa.

“What we have ruling Nigeria today at the Villa is a broken party and a broken government, spiritually the APC has already left the Villa, what we must fine tune is the physical accomplishment”, Secondus said.

The PDP chairman thanked the opposition lawmakers for the role they played in ensuring the emergence of the party’s NWC at last year’s convention and urged them to do more to save Nigeria from exploding.

“I have come with members of the NWC of our party to thank you for the mandate you gave us at the successful National Convention last year and to charge you to redouble your efforts for the eventual humiliation of the APC in 2019.

“The National Assembly is the centre of national politics, Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gunpowder waiting to explode, only the PDP can save it”, he said.

The meeting was attended by all the PDP members in the Senate and House of Representatives including the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and the Minority Senate Leader, Godswill Akpabio.
